How to Become Fluent In Intuition

Intuition is our first language and it is universal. All of us are born with it and we speak it fluently. As we grow older, learn spoken languages as well as how to behave and think, we rely less on our intuition and over time, we no longer understand ourselves, each other and how we relate to the whole.

Learning the language of intuition means learning to communicate through your feelings and your five senses. Since we are born with it, everyone has the tools to read energy. For example, everyone can relate to a time when they could sense the tension in a room. Our intuition never stops communicating, we just stopped listening and we overwrite anything we may perceive through our senses with logic.

How Do You Recognize That Your Intuition Is Communicating With You?

Intuition is unique to each individual, based on how you perceive the World and how your physical body translates the energy into something you can understand. Since we are dealing with energy, intuitive pings are often very subtle but the more you train your intuitive muscle, the more attuned you become and the easier it is to recognize your intuition. Think of it like tuning a radio. If you are on the wrong frequency, all you will hear is noise; this is like the constant chatter from your thoughts. Once you find that right frequency though, the noise subsides and you are left with an audible tune, your intuition.

Although intuition is innate and we all have the ability to become fluent in it; it does take awareness and practice to learn to trust it. Without self-awareness and an ability to tap into your emotional body, you will have a hard time recognizing and interpreting any intuitive signs. Gaining awareness is a prerequisite to learning the language of intuition. Then, just like with any other language, you need to immerse yourself, practice using your intuition in your day-to-day, and learn the subtleties of your own energetic dialect.

3 Steps To Help You Get Started With Trusting Your Intuition

1. Start By Mediating Regularly

If you don’t already have a regular mediation practice, start with a few minutes a day or even just by focusing on your breath. Meditation helps you quiet the mind but more importantly it can help you raise your vibration and extend your aura. The more you can raise your vibration the easier it will be for you to sense energy around you.

2. Become Familiar With Your Feelings

How good are you at paying attention to your feelings? Do you stop to drop into your feelings or do you look to your mind to tell you what you are experiencing? In order to become more intuitive, you will need to spend some time learning about your emotional body. Ask yourself what you are feeling in a given moment, name the feeling and recognize where in your body it manifests. Then see if you can figure out what this feeling is trying to communicate to you. What are you reminded of or when was the last time you had this feeling?

3. Pay Attention To Intuitive Pings

Once you start to raise your vibration and have learned to drop into your emotional body, you will undoubtedly have an easier time recognizing your intuition as well as intuitive pings. What is an intuitive ping you ask? Well, have you ever had a 'random' thought that just pops into your head and draws your attention to it? Have a recurring thought, idea, or feeling that just sort of stays with you and lingers? Find yourself in thought, daydreaming and playing out scenarios? These are all intuitive pings and the more you immerse yourself in the language of intuition, the more you will trust the guidance.
